MUSEUM STORAGE EXPERTS

Project Description: Glencairn Museum—a church affiliated museum of religious history—called upon Borroughs Corporation for our expertise in optimizing storage in unique structures. The medieval Romanesque style architecture and floorplan required special care during installation.

Results: The collection was safely stored on new high-density mobile systems—Aisle-Saver. Meticulous. Perfect.

Project Description:  The Naper Settlement's collections' storage was consolidated from 13 buildings over 30 acres into one new climate-controlled facility.  Borroughs designed, manufactured and installed customized storage–mobile and static–to safely house Naper Settlement's 38,000 unique collection items.

Project Description:  After reviewing the offerings from cabinet suppliers, the museum replaced 650 storage units with Borroughs cabinets.  "All herbarium cabinets have basically the same design", said Ms. Niezgoda, Botany Collections Manager. "The Borroughs cabinets offered the quality, protection and fuctionality we wanted."

Results: Borroughs developed, produced and installed 650 double door herbarium cabinets, customized for building load restrictions.
